Jonathan Pugsley

JP

Raised in northern Minnesota, Jonathan is a lively, fun-loving young man. Jonathan loves sports, movies, hanging out with friends, preaching the Word of God, and spending time with his family.

Even though he'd gone to church a lot in his life, Jonathan didn't really know God - His love and forgiveness - until 9th grade. Once Jesus started to heal and free Jonathan from sin, he became very enthusiastic about sharing this Good News with others.

Jonathan went on a few missions’ trips in high school that really impacted him. He realized how much he loved going to other places and telling people about the love Jesus has for them.

After high school, Jonathan went to a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Jonathan traveled to many different countries leading teams of youth in evangelism. He worked with YWAM Pittsburgh for about three years. In that time on staff with YWAM he worked in youth programs, networked churches, and managed local outreaches in Pittsburgh, as well as taking teams overseas. After YWAM Pittsburgh he went to Bethany Global University in Bloomington, Minnesota, and graduated with a certificate in Bible and Missions.

After University Jonathan got married, and became a youth pastor in Madisonville, Texas. After two years of being there, Jonathan and his family moved to Belmopan, Belize, to start a youth hang-out center with YWAM Belmopan. After starting the center and being moved by God to come back to America, they joined YWAM Kansas City in 2013.

Sara was raised in Minnesota and Texas. While living in the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas, she worked with various groups at different times helping the poor on both sides of the border. Through these experiences, church youth group, camps, etc. she came to know the saving love of our Messiah. Growing in a ministry family, she had the opportunity to learn much of God's word.

Through hearing missionaries speak and asking God what His will was for her life, Sara discerned the Lord didn't want her to pursue a college degree right after high school but seek out opportunities to serve Him through local and foreign missions. After graduating, she went to Mozambique, Africa, with Orphans Unlimited Inc. After three months of serving there, she went on to Bethany Global University in Minnesota, where she met Jonathan.

In 2010, their first daughter was born in Texas. In 2012, their second daughter was born in Belize, and their boys were born in 2014 and 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri. God has given Sara a love for children and birth. In 2016, she became a certified labor doula. Her privileges include homeschooling her children, running their household, helping with YWAM ministry, and caring for her doula clients.
